    This Sterling Silver, 3 Compartment Liturgical Holy Oil Carrier Cylinder. Modern versions are made of glass, the sterling silver ones engraved with the initials"OS" "SC" "OI" on each of the three compartments are much older. This portable carrier of the holy oils is for liturgical anointing during Holy Sacraments of the Catholic Church. The acronyms on the 3 compartments represent the following;
    "OS" stands for Oleum Sanctum, oil for Confirmations
    "SC" stands for Sanctum Chrisma, oil for Christenings
    "OI" stands for Oleum Infirmorum, oil for the Sick/Dying
