Some people in the movie collectible world have said, that, glass slides are much rarer than the paper poster memorabilia from the same film and are very rare pieces of film history.
Format:
Glass Slide: 3 1/4" x 4"
Plot Summary:
Chad Hanna, the 1940 Henry King romantic love triangle circus melodrama ("Printed in the Saturday Evening Post under the title of 'Red Wheels Rolling'"; based on the novel by Walkter D. Edmonds; about a country bumpkin who joins the circus in the mid-1800s, and he tries to win the heart of a beautiful horse rider, but she rejects him, but he finds love with a country girl who has also joined the circus, and he manages to save the circus from bankruptcy as well!)
Trivia
:
Even though she had to do several scenes with them, Linda Darnell was allergic to horses.
Both Hedy Lamarr and Ann Sheridan were considered for the role of Albany.
Both Anne Baxter and Brenda Joyce were considered to play Caroline.
About 20 mins into the movie, when Dorothy Lamour is talking to Henry Fonda from the steps of her wagon while wearing a robe, how she wears the robe changes from shot to shot. From the side view she has it discretely wrapped around her. From the font view she has it pulled tight and slightly open all the way to the waist, and is not wearing anything underneath it. In the final front view as Linda Darnell enters the scene, she has it very loosely wrapped and is wearing a slip underneath it.

She was spotted by Paramount Pictures, and after a few uncredited appearances, she starred in The Jungle Princess, where she wore a floral print wrap-around sarong, and she was a sensation. She made five more "sarong pictures" and she also starred in the "

More Info on Linda Darnell
:
Linda Darnell was born Monetta Eloyse Darnell in Texas in 1923. Hers surely is one of the most amazing and tragic Hollywood stories ever! Most remember her as the exotic beauty of the late 1930s and early 1940s. But few know that she had "matured" super early and that her stage mother mom had her working as an adult model at age 11 (telling people she was 16). Her mom got her a Hollywood screen test at 15, and they wanted to hire her, but told her mom she had to wait until she was 16. The following year, 1939, she had a sexy debut in Hotel For Women (she looked far older with the right make-up), and the same year she had the lead against Tyrone Power Jr. in
Day Time Wife
(still only 16!), becoming the youngest leading lady ever in Hollywood. She had several major successes over the following years and in 1947, she appeared in Forever Amber, which included a scene of her surviving being trapped by a fire. She had a very sad personal life, married and divorced three times, and an alcoholic through most of her adult life. In 1965 at just 41 years of age, she was staying at her former secretary's house and was watching one of her earliest hits, "Star Dust", and a fire started and she was burned to death, having made 46 movies. Some of her other movies include: My Darling Clementine, The Mark of Zorro, and The Song of Bernadette
