JUDAICA, Silver & Crystal Claret Jug Wine Decanter, Wilhelm T Binder..Circa 1900

Description

This DECANTER was purchased by my Father, an Air Force Officer, while stationed at Rhein Main Air Force Base, Germany in the late 1940's.  It has been in the Family since then and has been a "DISPLAY ITEM" and not used by us.  There is much evidence of wear on the bottom and a very minor surface chip at the edge as shown in PHOTO # 8. There is also another "trivial" chip on the bottom, not visible in the photos, but mentioned only as a matter of full disclosure on the condition.  Other than the Bottom, there are no other imperfections and the Decanter is fully usable and Excellent in appearance. The wear on the bottom is a hint of decades of use prior to the late 40's and it might date back to the early 1900's as far as age of manufacture.

There are 4 "STAR OF DAVID" cut designs, spaced evenly...every 90 degrees around the crystal about an inch below the Silver Top....see 3 PHOTOS # 9, 10 and 11.  Thus, our claim that this is JUDAICA.
