Small sterling silver overlay glass flask Plateria Azteca pre-1940s 3.125” tall

Offered for sale by Caspar’s Place is
a small sterling silver overlay glass flask, probably made by Plateria Azteca of Mexico City prior to its acquisition in the 1940s by Conquistador.
It is marked with “STERLING;” a left-facing Indian chief’s head known as an Eagle Warrior; and a maker’s mark which is partially rubbed and indecipherable – see photograph of marks.  The silver overlay and cap acid test as high purity silver.
This flask is NOT monogrammed.  It is in fairly good estate condition, although with the patina of old tarnish, fine scratches, and bumps and bruises to be expected with age and use.  In particular there is a significant dent to one lower corner of the bottle's overlay as well as a dented area on the cap.  See photographs.  The piece’s price reflects its condition.  This flask will make a lovely addition to any silver collection.
The weight of the flask is irrelevant to its value due to the glass.  It is roughly 3.125” tall; 1.75” wide, and 0.875” deep.
