    Description

Vintage Cut Glass Pitcher/Decanter W/ Stirling Silver (464) Rim /For Scrap Metal
This gorgeous decanter pitcher has a Stirling Silver rim with a beautiful ornate grape/plant design around it's base.   There are engraved initials in the sterling silver as you can see in the photo.  Also, found at the back of the decanter just above the handle are the symbols of an oblong square, circle and a diamond. These symbols are indicative of a piece dated between 1868-1928 and of very fine quality sterling silver.  The original company was Dominick & Haff out of New York, N.Y. which was absorbed by Reed & Barton. In addition, it  reads: "Sterling Silver" and "464".  The glass is beautifully cut with a lot of detail running vertically along the body of the piece.  The handle and base also have intricate glasswork.  Can be used as a decanter (with the existing chips) or simply for the scrap metal. The piece is approximately 9 3/4" tall.
