    Description

I purchased these World War II newspapers approximately 30 years ago and had them framed shortly thereafter. They are all from New York with three having been printed by "The New York Times" and one "The Sun". Lots of interesting articles here. The papers themselves are in very good reading condition with a few tatters around the edges. All the print is crisp. All the newspapers are museum mounted from the same frame shop using the same materials. The matting is black with a white trim. The frames received a few dings during my last move because the movers did not package them properly. Those have been retouched and are not highly noticeable unless one searches for them. The paper depicting Hitler's death also has a small fragment approximately 1/8 of an inch in diameter detached from the paper itself and observable in front of the black matting. I decided not to attempt to remove this fragment and have considered all these negative details while pricing the listing. Each frame has a hanging cable across the back. Each frame is 28"x22.5". These historic items would make an excellent addition to any man cave or office setting. I have two others I'm considering adding to this auction ("Russia Declares War on Japan" & "Japan Surrenders"). I just haven't pulled them out to take pictures yet. If I do decide to add them to this listing, the price could go up considerably. They may also end up in their own posting...
I ask the eventual buyer to please be patient with my shipping. On this particular listing I've indicated a 4-day handling time... I want to make sure everything is packaged extremely well and insured to its full value. These historic documents will almost certainly take more time to prepare than usual.
Please also consider looking at my Abraham Lincoln assassination newspaper with the first lithograph of John Wilkes Booth as "The Assassin"  in addition to the other historic items I have listed.
